Gorontalo - The National Arts and Sports Festival organized by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta is a prestigious event as well as a trial for outstanding students of the Faculty of Letters and Culture in welcoming the upcoming 2022 National Student Art Week.

Sending 25 Delegates to participate in the 12 Competition Branches that were contested made the Faculty of Letters and Culture optimistic about winning the grand champion in this competition.

Moreover, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Jafar Lantowa asserts that the national level competition is highly required at this time. Further, he also argues that the competitions like this can be an event for students to achieve more achievements in order to increase their experience in each competition.

“In addition to adding points for Faculties and Universities, national and international competitions are something that are obligatory for students to participate. Because through competitions like this, students are sharpened their abilities and talents as well as mentally to be more formed,” stated Jafar when interviewed by Violet Media.

Furthermore, He also argues that "Of course, the biggest and most important expectation is won the general champion from this festival, due there is a massive effort we made for this competition, especially for the vocal arts branch which conducts the student selection stage before the student is declared eligible to take part in this competition. Hopefully, our students will gain experience from here for National Student Art Week (PEKSIMINAS) in the next year and can gain optimum results.
