I would describe myself as a lecturer, Researcher, Consultant, Trainer, and Analyst who is working on the fields of Education, Linguistics, Literacy, Psycholinguistics, Culture, Inter-Cultural Communication, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At present, I serve as a Lecturer, with the ultimate objective of advancing my career as a Researcher and Consultant. In addition to my role as a full-time Lecturer, I have leveraged my expertise, along with my verbal and interpersonal communication skills, to collaborate with various organisations in the capacities of Consultant and Analyst.

Research
My field of research is in Applied Linguistics particularly Psycholinguistics. My research interest in general lies in the linguistic construction and psychological categories in communication across languages and cultures. I focus in particular on multilingual and intercultural settings, the usefulness of English as foreign language learning, the role of English as a ‘global’ language, the need for professionalisation in the languages services industry, social exclusion and inclusion processes, and the role of language for communication.
I welcome research students who are interested in linguistics and applied linguistics in its broadest sense. Multiple and mixed research platforms, interdisciplinary research, as well as collaborations with institutions and organizations outside the University, are all welcome.
