Gorontalo – The 58th Anniversary of Universitas Negeri Gorontalo is becoming the merrier ahead of the peak of event on September 27, 2021. Each Faculty competes to celebrate the event with its own version and unique style. The English Department celebrates it by officially starting the English School program for the Botubarani Tourist Village for one year, starting from September 21, 2021, to September 21, 2022.

The inauguration of the English School was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Culture and continued by the opening of the first class by Rahmawati Mamu as the English Department lecture. The opening event was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the residents of Botubarani Tourism Village.

In her speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Letter and Culture hoped that the English school could be beneficial for the people of Botubarani Tourism Village. It is expected to increase confidence and the community’s insight.

During the event, the Head of English Department, Novi Rusarty Usu, also hoped that the school could have a positive impact on the community, especially in Botubarani Tourism Village.

"Not only as a form of fulfillment of the tridharma in education but also contributes as a form of our devotion as academics to contribute in the community and provide education, especially in English. Eventhough, this is a tourist village, it is expected that there will be many people who are able and can communicate using English with the tourists." He concluded.
